June 4, 2021 / Community

Dundee FC in the Community Trust are delighted to announce we are accepting applications to join the 1893 Education programme which will start in August 2021.

The 1893 Education programme is designed for young people 15-24, who are thinking of leaving school or are not in employment or further education. Working with partners across the city, the young people will gain knowledge in many areas including; CV & interview techniques, starting a business and money management with support from Community Bank Teams. They will also enjoy physical activity to benefit their physical and mental health. Throughout the programme they will receive 1:1 support from their tutor and have their own graduation event.

The programme will run for two days a week for 15 weeks and will be based at the home of Dundee Football Club, Kilmac Stadium.

Further, the Trust have committed to employing a number of young people from the programme on part time and full time contracts for a full calendar year (12months). As the Trust is a living wage employer, the young people will receive the same full benefits as current staff. Whilst the young people are on the programme they will gain experience and knowledge by attending the community programmes that are currently on offer by the Trust.

Cohort 1 will start 19 August & 20 August, with Cohort 2 starting in January 2022.

To apply for the programme please completed the form below & a member of the team will be in touch.
