Dundee Football Club In the Community Trust are delighted to announce funding has been secured from the National Lottery Community Fund to the sum of £9980. Dundee Together is a new programme offered by the Trust to help and support individuals of our local communities. We would like to thank the National Lottery Community Fund & the National Lottery players for the grant, it will make a difference to our community.
Social isolation is on the rise at the time of national crisis, which impacts on the general wellbeing of individuals. Dundee Together is specifically designed to support individuals via an extended football memories sessions and support individuals with their general wellbeing that could include delivery of food parcels and other necessities and sign post them to relevant agencies. Participants that don’t have access to a device will receive a free tablet from the Trust so they aren’t digitally/socially isolated.
Your Dundee Together programme will;
-Showcase Dundee FC & football memorabilia with support from the Dundee FC Historical Trust. Conducted digitally then in person once Government restrictions have eased.
-General football history, stories and quizzes
-Social interaction with community staff and others participants
-If required, participants will receive a free tablet device to prevent digital exclusion.
-Participants will receive food parcels and other necessities if required
-Participants will receive one to one support from the Trust and if needed, the Trust will sign post them to agencies for further support.
